Pepper Looney is a CPA with 30+ years experience in the financial management of companies contracting with the Federal Government in the Defense Department technology industry and in the public health space.  Currently serving as the Director of Finance and Administration at Fathom5, Pepper oversees the organization’s financial management, human resources, facilities management, insurance and risk management, and internal operations.

Before joining FATHOM5, Pepper led the financial aspects of a growing SaaS startup in the defense industry.  Pepper played a key role in steering projects toward greater profitability by collaborating with operations and business development teams.  Pepper also played a key role in developing accounting processes, devising pricing strategies, and overseeing the budget process.

Prior to working with DoD-contracting companies, Pepper served as a financial executive in the public health sector where her roles involved ensuring compliance with government funding requirements, working on proposal teams, overseeing budgets, cash management, and fixed asset management.
